Biografie: Inca de la debutul sau din anii '50, Christopher Plummer s-a aratat a fi unul dintre cei mai talentati actori canadieni ai generatiei sale.
Primele sale doua filme, Stage Struck (1957) si Wind Across the Everglades (1958), nu au fost mari succese comericale, ultimul, regizat de Nicholas Ray, inregistrand insa aprecieri din partea criticilor.
In 1965 joaca rolul Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music.
Cateva din filmele in care a aparut Plummer: The Return of the Pink Panther (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Murder by Decree (1979) - rolul Sherlock Holmes, Somewhere in Time (1980), serialul din 1983 The Thorn Birds, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), Dolores Claiborne si Twelve Monkeys, ambele in 1995.
In 1999 apare in filmul The Insider, in regia lui Michael Mann.
